Rsc. Chyong Guu Linnet
The 'cat-face' cattleya is the cross between Rsc.Haw Yuan Beauty and Rsc. Tzeng-Wen Beauty. Since both the parents are beauties, it is also a beauty, too.

The plant dropped down to the ground before I wanted to take a photo for it....and then, as you saw, the bloom disfigured.

This flower is so very beautiful!!! Can you tell us more about it? What size? Fragrance? Blooming time and frequency? Size plant?
I'd really love to know more about this one!

Debs,
The cross was bred by a Taiwanese nursery several years ago and the blooms of the seedlings of this cross are very variable. My plant is about 10" tall and bloomed for its first time. There are usually 3-5 flowers on a spike and the flower is about 3" wide. Like most cattleyas, the bloom is slightly fragrant.
It is said that the cross blooms while the p-bulb matures and hence it is able to bloom several times in a year.
Here is a photo I took at an orchid show. The clone name is 'Smile'.

Cuties, both of them! They remind me of little panda faces with the color pattern. Can you see it?
