Default Cattleya amethystoglossa anticipation

Yes, I know, it's not actually in flower yet. But the buds are getting bigger with each passing day, and the anticipation is really starting to drive me a little nuts. The plant is around 28 inches tall (not counting the spike). Since this is the first time that it's flowering, I'm having a hard time controlling my enthusiasm.

Nice looking buds. But when the final curtain opens they will be fantastic! Don't forget the pics when they do. Nice growing.

I have acouple in bud also and can't wait. One is huge and I am expecting a high flower count. On the other hand one of my best cultivars had the lead bulb rot while in bud, luckily I caught it in time and romved that bulb and it has been a month and the plant is OK.

Default C. amethystoglossa 'A'

Here is the one I won't see bloom this year. Hopefully it will do well and come back strong.
