Slc. Dream Weaver 'Pam' AM HOS
This is a very attractive miniature cattleya that is currently blooming in my greenhouse. The flowers have very unique coloration. This is the best of about a dozen plants that I bloomed from a community pot. When the plant first bloomed in March 2007, it was given an Award of Merit by the Honolulu Orchid Society Judges.

Very nice! Had a Dream Weaver once upon a time but got rid of it. When it bloomed it was just a plain yellow -- very disappointing -- but that's the chanced one takes when one buys an unbloomed seedling (not a clone).

Thanks all for your positive comments. I used a flash and a pure white background for this photo. I notice that there is a slight greenish tinge in the background probably as a result of the reflection from the leaves. Anyway, my using a white background is a deviation from the black background (black velvet) that I normally use. Also, I usually photograph with natural day light and not use a flash. Thought I'd mention this as trivia information.

I really like the the first one by far; more natural, no harsh lighting. I would love to play with it, such as more artful cropping and a little sharpening. Most of my digital photos need it.
