Wide petals in Cattleya bicolor
That's why (among so many other things ) I like buying seedlings! I love the expectation of the first flower! And, bonus, sometimes you have a nice surprise! This is the first flower of a tiny seedling I bought times ago. The plant still is small for a Cat. bicolor (10" or 25cm) but decided to show its face! The petals and sepals in this flower are broader than the average and the overall look is round. I like it!

I'm with you on buying seedlings, Mauro. Surprises are half the fun. This guy is really nice.
