How beautiful is that! Wow!! How old is it? What medium do you grow it in?
It's just perfect.
The plant is with me for at least five years. It is now reaching the rim of a 4" pot. I grow it in a mix of coconut fiber, bark and charcoal. I also mixed a few small pieces of rock. It seems to like it.

No, Lily, I believe it is among the easy ones. You just need to provided bright light and a medium with very good drainage.

This is why we all love orchids. They are so diverse. I fell in love with Laelias about 10 years ago. They fuel my passion in collecting them. I mean ...come on you can go from this little beauty to the large L. purpurata.
Heck, you can only collect L. anceps and collect forever and still find unusual color types and diverse varieties of this species that are not in you collection.
Bravo for the little lucasiana

I totally agree! Especially in the case of these little rupicolous gems! It is an endless rainbow of colors and species. And the good thing is that new species come to light in a regular basis!
