Thanks everyone. I am still most impressed by the size of the flowers. They are monstrous for this species.

Thank you Mauro! I just received a caerulea seedling from Antonio Schmidt's breeding line. It will be very interesting to compare them.

That's a fantastic-looking flower, Chris. Mind giving some information regarding how you're growing it? Since I have yet to meet a C. nobilior that I couldn't kill, I would be interested in learning about how you're growing yours before I stupidly spend any more money on purchasing another victim to experiment with. Congratulations on your beautiful plant.

Steve, I am just beginning to culture all my nobilior (3 tipo, 3 caerulea, 2 amaliae) in pure sphag in unglazed pots, watered every other day. They seem to be adapting well, lots of new root growth. I cannot claim success with this method, however, as I am just beginning with it. I know Mauro Rosim has done extremely well using this moss growing technique. If you search this forum, there is a recent thread about it. When I was in Florida, I grew my nobiliors/walkeriana in a screened-in porch mounted to cork with daily water in the morning, and during the summers natural rain in the afternoon. They pretty much grew themselves.
