Default Laelia pumila

Last year I bought a piece of this pumila (without flowers). I was assured it was a variety suave, much lighter in color than the type. I decided to take the risk and... Well, as it had to be, the flower ended up being type, of course!!

Very nice Mauro! To me that bloom looks lighter in color than what I remember the Laelia pumila type to be. I just looked up pics, and yours is noticably lighter it seems....

Yes, a little bit lighter, Camille, but still within the expected type color variation.

Yes, Suzie, it is a Brazilian species often used to produce small sized hybrids.
