The plant is looking too dry for my tastes, so I had to water it. I'm worried that will affect how flat the bloom will be. I think it will crack in the next 24 hours

Don't worry, Chris, the flower form won't be affected by the watering.

I don't have this catt. I've looked for it a few times. I'm excited to see the color and form. Being a young plant it will get better with age

Here is a teaser.

Unfortunately, The form is not so good. The symmetry and labellum are perfect, but the petals are badly reflexed.

I will take more/better pics after it has had a few days to stretch and color up. I'm heartbroken over the reflex.

Chris, don't be disappointed yet. It's going to take a few more days to fully open and flatten out. Be patient!(I know that's hard to do.)

what tuvoc said, you need to give it a day or two to full open up. Make sure the humidity is steady and consistent!!
