I have looked back at this sellers history and they do look like they have had a good reputation it even looks like peeweelovesbooks has bought from them but i find it odd that this seller in the past has had many auctions going all at once and they were around $65 or less and all the sudden they list this behemoth for this outrageous price and it is the only auction with no word of saying they are leaving ebay or not planning to sell Catt. or any other orchids I don't know this whole auction still looks suspicious to me. Maybe it is because I have been burned by people on ebay in the past but not near what it looks like this will be.

I can't believe that people are actually bidding on it, at the very reduced price of $255.... I could still get a at least a dozen of nice orchids for that price!

Well... I could see paying ~300 for a plant. But not a cattleya. Heck, you buy the $300 plant and some idiot releases 500 flasks of of mericlones, and you will be a very unhappy camper.

$300 for a paph or phrag (which can't be cloned, at least not usually) might be worth it. Or even more for a very select stud.

Although I'd like to announce that I could sell you some guaranteed unique awarded cattleyas for $5000... If anybody is interested. I'd even let one of my nice equitant oncidiums go for that. If there is some sucker ... errr... customer... out there who really needs to drop that kind of cash, I'll be happy to oblige.

I know I could spend half that amount and be on more than one orchid. But if some one is an avid collector and feels that they must have that Catt. in there collection to make it complete then who are we to judge?

They've set a reserve for this thing...so even if the highest bidder stays at $255, the seller still doesn't have to sell it for that price....come on guys, at the end of the day it's still just a plant...

Sorry but it's not even close to being that nice! ridiculous. I know where you can get one nicer for around 35.00. Oh and by the way for 10 grand you would think that they would GIVE you a heat pack.
