Meanwhile, if this plant does have multiple populations, then I guess its time to call this one a species, no matter if it really was a hybrid or not. This is possibly a questions taxonomists struggle with. At what point does a population become a species? Some suggest, that there is no point in assigning binomials to living creatures as we are all in constant change.
