Default Phaius Tankerville

I love the blooms on this plant. Pure white on the outside. It looks like someone painted the inside brown in a single brush stroke. I wish the scent were stronger because it has a very clean, fresh air aroma.

That is cool! I love the scent of these guys too! This plant has 'gone wild' here on Oahu and you can find them all over the place on hiking trails. Im always amazed by the variety of colors this species comes in. Nice pics too!

I forgot to mention that the 4th pic is a bird's eye view, while the last pic is a frog's eye view.

Hi TikiGeorge,
Thanks for these wonderful photos!

I've got 4 of these recently planted alongside our pool garden out back. All are in spike, and it's great to see pics of what we can expect once they are blooming.

I will definitely post pics when they are blooming...right now they are just starting to seperate the buds growing on the ends of the spikes. I suspect that they will be opening in the next week or three.

I'm not exactly sure how much longer it will be from this stage as this is the first year I've had them growing. Time will tell.
