Default Blc. Crowfield 'Mendenhall'

This plant is my bad luck plant. This is only the second bloom in 4 years time. The buds tend to rot before the leaf opens or they blast. Oh, and both blooms have had insect damage. This one is not noticeable because it happened to the inside edge of the lower sepals.
I'll take better pics in natural light tomorrow to show off the inredible tye-dyed lip!

Here's the same plant the only other time it bloomed. I grew it in full sun and look how bronze the sepals and petals are. Also notice the insect bite.

Nice color and love the lip! Very pretty thing and doesn't look to be overly large. Too bad it's so fickled. Perhaps it will start to produce more often now that it's established more.

Such a pretty one! I have it as a seedling right now. Can't wait for it to be all grown up
