Default Bllra.Tahoma Glacier 'Green'

I went to my local orchid greenhouse yesterday (Paradis des Orchidées), and bought this Bllra.Tahoma Glacier 'Green'. I know that this is quite a popular orchid, so any of you have have this one, based on the size of the buds, do you know how long it will be until they open?

Cam

Yeah, it's not long off. I have 'Sugar Sweet.' I think the two are pretty similar in color. I'll be excited to see your pictures.

I will def. post pictures as soon as they open!! I generally wasn't too keen on this orchid until I saw it in the greenhouse! The Flowers were huge, and all the plants seemed very strong. I can't wait to see what mine looks like!

I hope they open soon!! lol

I have a wide selection of pots to use for my orchids in bloom; that way I can cover up some of my unsightly plastic pots that I have poked holes into to promote faster drying or my clear pots where you can see styrophoam penuts in the bottom. Many plants get top- heavy when they bloom also, so heavy clay/ metal pots help them stand up

I'm looking forward to seeing these buds turn into blooms
This has been on my wish list for a long time now. I'll likely get to the green house next week.

Cam, where are the paphs?

lol... I have reasons!
I figured that if I land up going to the orchid show, I could find some less costly ones there, and if not, then I will buy one of the pricier ones at the greenhouse . I also wanted a cattleya, but since I have never owned one, I figure 60$ is a pretty $$ experiment
But I had my eye on a rather large yellow-orange bulldog paph. There was another pink and white one (a bulldog type as well) that looked rather unique.

I am also waiting too see what Cloud's new catalogue will include.

They were pretty busy yesterday, with 6 or 7 other people browsing ( I was the only one there both times I was there before). They were also taking pictures of plants, so it was kind of neat to see that.

$60?! Ouch! That is rather pricey unless it was one huge catt or a rare variety/cross. Typically I can get a blooming size or in bud/bloom catt at a show for about $20-25.
