I am trying again to find out whether you have Catt alliance species or hybrids that routinely only bloom for two weeks. I have a nice Gs hybrid that has bloomed twice in the last year but each time for only two weeks. Cultural versus genetic?

I'm going to guess genetic. Two weeks is not bad at all. I have one or two that barely make it eight to ten days.

Thanks. Looking up the genetic background of this Gs (Lc) Acker's Spotlight 'Pink Lady' I find that bowringiana is the species that seems to have a short bloom life. With all the complexity in the genes I am sure it is hard to tell about bloom duration when you make a cross.
