Big Momma Noid Catt. more blooms.
Big Momma blessed me with four new blooms today. She's a happy girl. I took a photo of her most mature blooms. They aren't finished expanding yet but their color is getting better. I always feel good when I gaze at her blooms.

Beautiful colors on those blooms! Big Momma is going to look spectacular once the buds are all open.

Thank you. I think she's beautiful but I'm partial. I'll post a pic. of her in sunlight when the weather permits. Sunlight brings out sparkles in her diamond dust petals.

Wow, nice. That color always reminds me of my Grandma. Therefore to me, it really is a big momma!

She was a gift given to me about 9 years ago. She was in bloom and had 4 or 5 psuedobulbs when I got her. I didn't have much orchid knowledge at all back then. She endured much abuse over the next several years and didn't bloom at all. My baby managed to recover though, and began thriving in 2006. It was then that she was transferred from a 6" to an 8" pot. In Feb.2007 she blessed me with 16 blooms. I had to bump her up to a 12" pot the same year. She took to her larger pot very well and began rapidly developing new psuedobulbs. Last year she produced 22 blooms.
She's been in the same pot for 2 years and I plan on repotting her this spring. The last time I did a pseudo count was about 8 months ago. She had 46 at that time. There are too many to count now and I get lost trying. Even her bud count is getting difficult to keep track of but it looks like she'll have 27 blooms and possibly more if she has more than 2 buds per sheath.
