Cattleychea (or Epicattleya) Domenico Pozzi
I made this cross by the end of the 90's. I wanted to wait the progeny to flower before registering. Then, when I decided to register, someone had already done it in 2003. I used pollen from an alba Cat. forbesii onto the (then) Encyclia (Prosthechea for a while, now Panarica!!!) prismatocarpa. I'd have been glad if some of the plants showed spots on green background, but none of the flowered plants I saw had this characteristic. The resulting plant is intermediate in size, very floriferous and extremely perfumed in the morning, diminishing a little in the afternoon.
The flower:

wow Mauro, that's a lovely plant... even if it does not have the name you would have given to it
I am just wondering now with all these name changes... what will it be then: Cattarica (at least in spanish sounds very funny), Panaleya, Panattleya, Pattleya??

It does have a very unusual lip , I like it. So Mauro, Should you have registered it as soon as you make the cross to protect your interest
