Default No flowers yet, but buds are everywhere

This is one of my favorite chids. She's a Noid Cattleya (probably a George King cross), but who really knows. She had 3 blooms when I received her as a gift about 9 years ago. She didn't produce another bloom until 2 years ago when she busted out with 16 blooms. Last year there were 22 and it looks like she'll have 27 blooms this year. I've named her 'Big Momma Catt.' This is what she looks like today but you can be sure I'll be posting more exciting flowering pics. within the next week or 2.

Congratulations !!!! The older they are the nicer they get that is if you don't divide them. We'll be waiting for the bloom pictures.

Thank you. I love the form of this plant. She has such even growth. I'm not sure why, but maybe it's because I've never let her outgrow a pot. She's been in this 14" one 2 years and is due for a repot this year. The difficulty is finding an attractive container with appropriate depth and ventilation. She's done well in this one but she's gettin' too big for her britches. Her leaves were in better shape last year. She had a small infestation of scale and the treatment did some cosmetic damage.

Oh I love this plant. You have posted about this one before, right?

Its funny how when you have been on orchid board for a while, you start remembering other people plants lol.

Good job!

Thank you, yes I have, and nice of you to remember. There are photos of her in my gallery depicting last year's blooms.
