Epidendrum conopseum - Source for purchase

The Florida West Coast Orchid Society has a group of people that are going to grow Encyclia tampensis and Epidendrum conopseum ( Green Fly Orchid ) with the intention of re-introducing them in to areas of Florida which once had the plants, and have lost them through pilfering and habitat destruction. Sources for tampensis are no problem, conopseum has been difficult. The only orchid nursery I could find, Santa Barbera Orchids, shows a listing ,but has no plants. I need a source to purchase two or three NBS or BS plants to be used for generating seeds. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards.

I would call up Santa Barbara Orchid Estate, as their collection is much much larger than what is on the web, like most growers. I've personally had great experiences with Paul and Wayne there.

Santa Barbara Orchids doesn't have conopseum

Try Andy's Orchids. The plants are on the high side, but WELL worth it. They really know how to grow em'.

Thanks for all the inputs. I contacted Andy's Orchids and they have the conopseum. I ordered two plants yesterday. Once again thanks for the help.
