Default Cattleya Cunundrum

This past summer I repotted several of my catts. Somehow I placed two name tags in one pot. So not knowing which was which, I figured I'd just wait til one of them flowered and search for which was what. The plant that I had placed two tags flowered and that situation has been resolved to my mental satifaction.... Well, to make things more difficult....nothing with me is ever simple....yes, we've all been there! I now find I have two plants and only one tag. So I have waited for one of the remaining unidentified plants to flower and I thought this would resolve the problem.... Well, today one of them began to open so I tried to do a search of the name on the tag, Blc Haw Yuan Ruby. Can't find it..... I can find lots of catts that begin with Blc Haw Yuan..... but not Ruby... So if anyone can help, this is the flower that started opening today... but I don't know, is this Ruby.... or maybe Mary Jane... or Zelda ... or????

Howard,
OrchidWiz has fotos of the following Blc (Rsc). None match yours. There are several other possibilities which did not include pics. SORRY! This is every orchidist's nightmare.....
Haw Yuan
Haw Yuan Beauty
Haw Yuan Gold
Haw Yuan Moon

Thanks Stitz...those are the ones I found in my search, too. I'm beginning to believe that this tag belongs to the other plant that had no name and hasn't flowered yet and this flower will become a NOID

Both are beauties. Glad you found the names and you just couldn't keep a nameless orchid in your collection. I was about to mail you a prepaid return label! Hee Hee!

Just a note about the names... not that I'm one for names but I guess this is really a Rhynchosophrocattleya (Rsc.) since the naming police changed things and the Laelia ancestors (purpurata, tenebrosa & cinnabarina) were reclassified as Sophronitis & what was once Brassavola digbyana was moved to the genus Rhyncholaelia. They are out to make us all crazy.... or maybe one of them owns stock in the plastic lable business.....
