That is one beautiful orchid. I'll have to look for this guy. I've got several Brassavolas, but one can never have too many. And I don't have this cross yet. You guys get such nice plants at your Home Despot!

Thanks Ross, let me know if you don't find one...I'll probably divide it in the spring.

I'll get serious about purchases around April or so. Where did you get yours? Did you get it already mounted? Or did you do the great mounting job? It's a beaut! Unless you really feel strongly about dividing, I wouldn't. I think the Brassavolas look too neat with multitudes of blossoms. Unless the mount is totally overgrown (yours isn't there yet) then I would leave it be.

I bought it (NBS) in a 4" pot at Home Depot (hanging on the rack, in the little clear "Better-Gro bags"). I mounted it over the summer. I'll probably break off a couple of the front growths, so it will wrap around the sides more. It's presently growing outward, and getting a little front-heavy. Besides, it grows like a weed down here in the summertime, so I'm not worried about it....I'd be happy to trade a piece, or something.

Jasen, I know what you mean! I have this cross and I love it. My plant is about 6-7 years old now and it is huge. It smells great at night. Mine has about 35 buds and flowers on it right now. Very hardy plant and easy to grow in Florida. One of my favorites!

Jasen, here is the pic of my Brassavola 'Little Stars' (nodosa x cordata). It is only about 4-5 years older than yours so this is what you can expect! And you are right about the fragrance at night. Wonderful! It is the best smelling plant I have.
