Default Eplc. Butterfly Kisses

The yellow/orange in thse flowers is much more intense than it shows in the pictures. I haven't noticed a scent to these but it's in the orchidarium with the B. Little Stars and she might be overpowering this one...

Anyway...there are six spikes on this plant and each spike has about 4 to 5 flowers on it. Two of the spikes are in bloom and waiting on the others

I saw one of these at Carter & Holmes in a 4 inch pot and it had to have at least 50 blooms and buds on it. I didn't detect a scent on that one either. Yours is awesome! Watch out Little Stars!!!!!

I posted a pic of this plant a few weeks ago to show how the colors change from pink to yellow.

I would like to say that your plant is much happier than mine. I am lucky to get three flowers to a spike. You are obviously doing a better job growing it than I am with my plant. Congratulations.

Yours were pink when they first bloomed? The buds on mine have been orange even before they opened . Before I take a huge bow and thank you all for your compliments, this plant was in new spike when I brought it home. All I've done is put it in the orchidarium and water it... but Thank you all anyway

Dana, I must apologize again. I have two plants that are very similar and I always confuse myself with the names. I interchanged the names when I posted pics previously.

Anyhow, here we go. When I referred to the flowers changing color. The color change occurs with Epl. Fiftieth Anniversary (Bl. Richard Mueller x Epi conopseum). The change from pink to yellow is obviously the Bl. Richard Mueller influence and the lesser flower count that I mentioned is due also to Richard Mueller.

Eplc. Butterfly Kisses 'Mendenhall' AM/AOS AD/AOS (Lc. Trick or Treat x Epi. conopseum or (magnolae) is always orange. As you probably know, Epi conopseum is native to this area which is probably the reason I bought both plants coupled with the fact that they are both easy to grow and Epl. Fiftieth Anniversary blooms throughout the year. My Eplc. Butterfly Kisses is just now starting to spike.

I am attaching a picture of Epl. Fiftieth Anniversary just for your viewing.

Yay! Now I now the official name of my chid and no longer have to put Bl. Richard Mueller x Epi conpseum. I'm updating my list andtag right now. By the way, here's a link to my Fiftieth Anniversary.
