Default Laelia anceps

A pink form of this species.
It tolerates cold winter but dislkes humid summer here. Two of my younger plants were killed this summer after a typhoon hit here.

I've had L. anceps for years that is one of my most reliable bloomers and all-around tough orchids. It can handle hot and dry in the summer or cool and wet in winter, and still bloom several times a year.

Wow, very nice. Does not like humid summers huh. Sound counter-intuitive.

Thanks for the kind words.

L. anceps does not like the late summer weather here. Because we usually have showers in the afternoon and the night would become windless and humid, which is good for the vandas but for the species, especially those plants that grown in the pot, is not suitable.
