Default Epidendrum pseudepidendrum

Very interesting species native of the Central America. The hard, waxy lip is a distinctive characteristic. It seems made of plastic to the touch! Too bad that it produces only a few flowers per inflorescence!

Nice pic and plant Mauro! Any advice on culture? I have an Epicattleya Rene Marques x Epi. psuedepidendrum that tends to get discolored leaves(purply brown) and flowers with extremely reflexed petals. I grow it like all my catts. Any ideas?

I've had one for years that's a prolific bloomer. It can handle a good amount of shade, and still hold its flowers for months. My only difficulty is that the stems are long and pendulous, so the plant takes a lot of space.

Even if it has only few blooms, it looks wonderful!

I bought this last year as a seedling. It was planted in a mix of bark and coconut fiber. I immediately changed to moss and clay pot. For the rest, Cattleya conditions are suitable (in my case, I grow it hanging to improve air movement around the pot). Take a look at the picture below. The new growth has grown and developed amazingly well.
