Cattleya amethystoglossa coerulea 'Equilab' Male
Default Cattleya amethystoglossa coerulea 'Equilab'

I recently acquired a flowering size plant (nearly 80 cm on the latest lead) of Cattleya amethystoglossa coerulea 'Equilab'. Pot labels indicate that it was purchased from Jones & Scully with repotting dates back to 1983!

I looked at my 1987 Imperial Collection list from J & S but it wasn't one of several C. amethystoglossa listed.

Anyone with any info on it? I'm well aware that any plant with the cultivar name 'Equilab' is one which has been carefully selected.

Thanks,

Thank you all for the compliments. I found it a local orchid society event.
