Sophrolaeliocattleya 'Beautiful Sunset' (Sc. Orpetii x L. sincorana). First bloom for me for this one, just opened yesterday morning. Like so many of these flowers, it's just about impossible to capture the intensity of the magenta/fuchsia coloring on camera. For anyone into minis, it produces big 3" blossoms on a tiny plant, and it seems pretty easy to grow!
For those of you who might be looking to add this one to your collections, I goofed with the hybrid name: there is no Cattleya in the parentage, only Sophronitis and Laelia (Sl. Orpetii x L. sincorana). So, it's just Sl., not Slc.
