Laelia purpurata, another type flower

Here's another type of the species. Many will say that the plant has poor shape and wouldn't deserve perhaps occupy a place on the bench. Yes, agree, it has poor shape, but it is not true this kind of plant wouldn't deserve a place in our collections. I make a point having regular flowers side by side with better ones. After all, they represent what nature makes without man's hands.

I agree we cannot show disdain for nature. Now, even though this is not my favorite of flower shapes on an orchid, the colors are magnificent to me. It still looks royal! Thanks for sharing and for growing this one!
