Beautiful rich color. It must be quite a sight in person.

Super nice, Sue! I agree that it is also a great parent. 9 times out of 10, if there is a Catt that catches my eye, it has Chocolate Drop in the genes!

Susanne yours is a beauty! Congrats!!
I have a young 'Volcano Queen' cultivar. I'm waiting (not very patiently) for it to finally bloom. I've only had it for a year and a half, and it put out a sheath in the summer but so far I've seen nothing in the way of buds. The sheath is turning color so I assume it will dry and most likely be a dud. It's probably just not big enough to bloom yet.

Susanne, I wish you strength and happiness this Thanksgiving Day. This is my first without my grandmother, who was the light of my life. Such an emptiness in my life without her. Still, onward we go.
Your Choc. Drop is gorgeous!! You've done a wonderful job growing her!

Hi Susanne,
It is a gorgeous flower you've got there...I can't wait to see the spikes all opened up.
I have a C. Okinowan Rock which is a Chocolate Drop cross. When I divide it, I believe a piece may find it's way to you.
Sometimes coincidences are just coincidences...other times they are God's way of staying anonymous. I hope that you have a great Thanksgiving.
Peace!
