She's lovely. Check for the scent a couple of days after the flower opens. Mine has the most fabulous scent and it always starts at about 2 days after it opens.

This is one of my favorite orchids, the blooms are so gorgeous. I heard that is it also a very rapid grower

I can imagine how frustrating that is. Are you giving it enough light? I would like to grow this one (and other catts) but I don't have enough light year round for them.

That is very strange then, it is supposedly an easy bloomer! Stubborn orchid. Maybe if you threaten to send it to the compost heap, it might decide that it's maybe a good idea to start blooming soon.

well, I have it from a friend who was not able to get it to bloom... I thought, I could do it better, I have a nice place, good light, and so on.. but I am starting to think it is a weird flowerless clon... I give it a year, if I have no success, I'll send it to NL or bring it with me to Lyon

Good growing Marissa!
According to my experience, scent tends to appear few days after blooms disclosure, specially in the evening after sunset and in presence of warm temperatures....
