This is a plant I personally chose at Geraldo's nursery, Frederico. I spent the whole morning inspecting every plant he had in bloom until I find this in the middle of the plants that came from the selfing of 'Minha Gilda'. By the way, 'Minha Gilda' the mother plant, was in full bloom there and I could compare both. As far as form is concerned, both are practically the same, but color in the petals of this one covers a larger area than 'Minha Gilda'. Yes, great luck!

Your var, flammea coerulea is exquisite. Congratulations!

We share the same opinion, Kathy! There's nothing like L. purpurata in full bloom. And its genetic instability generates a river of varieties which is makes our joy!
