Default Blc. Oconee Mendenhall X C. Mrs. Mahler

This orchid bloomed in April and I repotted as it outgrew it's pot. In the process these two back bulbs fell off the mother plant so I planted separately. And to my surprise it bloomed. Not true to color as it is a very deep dark plum. Fragrant!

It's gorgeous! How long did that take to bloom from those back bulbs?

Still, that's a pretty nice flower and I bet it blooms deep and true next time.

Kiki, I repoted in April of this year right after it bloomed. This was three pseudobulbs that separated from the main plant. I was surprised to see a bloom now at this time.

Debs - I didn't mean the flower is not true color but the photo isn't the true color of the flower. The flower is really a very dark plum color. Guess it's my camera or light or something.
