I do not know who (or which compagny) registered this hybrid in 1960 under this name. (Ewart for Edward??), but it is the result of mating Blc. Norman's Bay on Lc. Vallandina. It is two flowers on a pseudobulb and they are deliciously perfumed. If somebody can give me more informations about this hybrid these will be welcome.

I think I can smell it all the way to here! Quite a beauty.

The originator of the cross was Mansell & Hatcher Ltd, Great Britain and it was registered by Mr. McDonald, New Zealand in 1960.

It has been used equally as seed and pollen parent to create 20 hybrids, one of which has been awarded (Blc. Pink Diamond).
