Great selection, great variety you got there, Kiki! How FUN! Enjoy! Bringing home newbies or receiving packages in the mail, is something to celebrate! As Martha Stewart would say, It's a good thing.

Well, not necessarily, Becky. It all depends on how they're potted. I've got mine in mostly charcoal with a little bit of bark, water every 4-6 days and they're all happy. Bare root or just charcoal has advantages but, everyday watering may not suit one's lifestyle....the orchids maybe, but not mine!

Nice haul Kiki! There is an excellent thread on Tolumnia culture down in the Oncidium thread. I have followed Ross's advice and mine is doing much better now. My Chia Lin 'New City' has one bud. I got it last Christmas from my mom. It will be a first rebloom for me. Not sure why only one bud developed though. It started out with 2, but 1 kind of dried up right away. I look forward to all the bloom pics sure to follow.

Thanks Terri,
I've been checking that sight out as I know nothing about Tolumnias and I found it an interesting plant. I also bought the Chia Lin because of someone's pic here on OB. It was one of those "wow" catts that I never forgot. Anxious to have it open and it's starting to open already.

Thank you everyone! I so enjoy all your comments.
There is an old saying that we shouldn't forget to stop and smell the roses. Well, smelling fragrant orchids has just given roses a run for their money!

Hi Kiki,

Fantastic haul indeed! I love the selections you've made...and as others have mentioned, you MUST share more pics when those beautiful buds are opened up.
