This little lady is very fragrant filling the GH with a wonderful scent.....makes me want to go out there even with nasty weather! Not sure why it hasn't opened more....maybe just the way it is

It just so happens today has been a beautiful fall day in Michigan but when we get the clouds and rain at this time of the year, it can be a bone-chilling nasty time!

Possibly, it's not out of the question. What sort of light are you giving your cattleya hybrids?

Doc, I've had the same effect with Paphs when the direction of the light was backwards. In other words, when the light was coming from the front, they didn't open fully. When the flowers were aimed away from the light, they opened fully. I think I have that right You know what it's like to have AADD, right?

Light certainly will have an effect but changing position or location when in bud will also have an effect on them.
Maybe next cycle they will improve.
