Hey guys, been trying to post all day but been busy at work Anyway I got this in Homestead a while back and just bloomed this morning. I took a pic yesterday of just the buds thinking it would bloom soon. I was surprised to see it this morning though. Hope you like it. Im more of a vanda guy but got this for a great price and it looked good in the pics. Hope you like the pics.

Im glad you like it Debs, Like I said I dont know much about these though I am trying to grow a few cats, they dont seem to be much harder than vandas. Less water and less light. I think they should do ok.
PS Im pretty impressed with your collection. very Nice.

Thanks David, I will follow it up and see if there is any change in color, I hope so actually since I thought it looked a little pale. The second flower bloomed today but nothing noticable in the color.

Gee wilikers, Swamper! I appreciate the compliment on my collection. It's a labor of love, but aren't they all?

I started photographing buds last night. I do love buds, especially the really large ones. And they can change so much in a 12 hour period.

My camera is pretty old, so I know the pictures won't compare with yours, still it's fascinating.

This is as mature is this bloom got, I don't see much difference personally, still it was real pretty.

I think that there is definitely more color showing in the sepals, and also more in the petals, but they are not as noticible. Well done indeed! Thanks for posting the update.
