I did in fact see H.G. Riechenbach f.'s treatment of the taxon as Cattleya dolosa, but I am not sure what to make of it... Reichenbach published the taxon in Xenia Orchidacea II: 224. in 1874. I see in MOBOT that Carl Withner had revised Rchb.f.'s taxon in 1989, but I cannot find anything else for his treatment.
