Potting medium for rock Laelia/Sophronitis hybrid

Hi, all...This has come up for me in the context of another thread, ( http://www.orchidboard.com/community...-sphagnum.html ), so thought I'd raise the question in a place where it might have a better chance...

I recently purchased the hybrid (Laelia milleri x L. cinnabarina) x Sophronitis cernua. As it is 50% rupicolous Laelia, I was wondering if people thought it would do well in granitic rock medium? My other rupicolous Laelias are potted this way and are doing great. But I'm wondering if the 50% Sophronitis parentage might call for a different medium.

Any thoughts, opinions, advice would be much welcomed.
