Interesting link I found with Schom. tibicinis This is something I wasn't aware of in the Myrmecophila/ant relationship... So maybe keep the ants and have a small pile of compost easily accessable to the ant colonies. ie: have a pile of fruit cores and peels 15 feet away.

Not only do ants provide schombo/mrymecos with protection but with nutrients as well ... as stated below by Myrmecophila - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The ants associated with Myrmecophila tibicinis pack many of the pseudobulbs with debris that includes other dead ants, a variety of insects, pieces of plant material, seeds and sand. Myrmecophila tibicinis directly utilizes minerals of the organic debris ("garbage dumps") deposited by the ants inside the hollow pseudobulbs."

I guess I am echoing Weebl

Pertaining to article of Weebl's link .. their pseudobulbs are like little intestines ..
Now there's a thought and visual
