Blc. forbesii x Blc. Helen Brown
If you can imagine taking your pepper shaker (black pepper), holding it under your nose, and taking a big sniff (without sneezing)....this is the striking initial scent of this beauty. Then, it softens off into a spicy-sweet floral fragrance. I've had this plant for about a year....forgot how spicy it smelled!

Pepper huh? I guess I can think of worse smells. I kind of like the odd smellers. Interesting, thanks for sharing.

Quite a blending of colours. Smells like pepper eh? That would come in handy for my sinuses

Well despite the pepper smell, I think it's a beauty!

Exactly like black pepper! Hey Royal, are you battening down the hatches? Looks like Ike is headin' your way. Don't worry, all those plants I sent you are highly trained in the art of hurricane evacuation! Good luck, man...hope it misses ya!

Yup, it's gonna come right up the Interstate. Lots of evacuees in town already. It's expected to still be a cat 1 by the time it reaches me (a few hundred miles inland). The orchids were trained in my hurricane protocal druing Gustav. I could tell they were veterans.
