Diaca Chantilly Lace 'Twinkle'
Love this beauty...fragrant but not as strong as Iwan Apple Blossom.
I have it mounted on Epiweb with a little sphag at the roots.

It sure is a beauty...wouldn't mind having one of those in my GH! Then again, I'd like that pool in my back yard, too!!!!!! On a more serious note, educate me...Caularthron hybrids...more generally where are they on the Genus side of things? Dendrobiums... or some other pseudbulb chid????? Dorothy...Dorothy....where are you?????

Cattleya alliance. Pseudobulbs - yes. More like a cigar shape though, kind of like some Laelias. Instead of being just unifoliate or bifoliate, they have successive leaves that will eventually drop in a season or two. Thick rooted like Cattleya and Laelia. Reported to be sometimes colonized by ants, living inside hollow, mature p-bulbs. (myrmecophylli ?) Used to be genus Diacrum.

Oooh, that is so pretty! I have a young one of these but it's growing in a pot. I can hardly wait to see it flower so I hope it does well for me. Thanks, Sue.
