Default C. Heinke Porter, pic.

This division was given to me over a year ago with only 3 pseudobulbs and is blooming for the first time. Two lg flowers, slightly fragrant. I don't know anything about it and maybe Dorothy, Mauro or other expert can shed some light.

Don - I couldn't find anything on this beauty in the RHS registry
I would think it has C. dowiana in it's lineage with that lip but I'm guessing.
It's gorgeous!

Hi Don...another beauty...

I looked it up for you too, and couldn't find anything. Are you sure you've got the spelling correct here...mis-spelled words are one of my specialties...maybe I've rubbed off on you a little.

Hold onto you hats guys. I am in the process of contacting the person who gave me the division in the first place. No answer yet. He was in the commercial business and did a lot of crosses of his own. Now out and reducing his collection to a manageable size, hence a lot of free-bees from him. Lucky me, eh?

Don regardless of its parentage it's gorgeous. I'm with D on the dowiana liniage due to the huge lip but other than that I have no idea other that it's BEAUTIFUL.
