Cattleya amethystoglossa
Here's one of my C. amethystoglossa which is in bloom now. Only six flowers, but then the plant is only reaching maturity. The potential is for at least 8-10 flowers. The perfume.... ah! the perfume!!!

Absolutely beautiful Mauro! There are only a few plants in my collection that I cannot wait for them to bloom and all my immature amethystoglossas and dowianas fall into this category! The smell is pretty fantastic. Great growing!!
PS I have to say, the color and shape of your flowers look really great. Im no judge, but I would be VERY happy with these!

I just sowed some of this seed last night. I can't wait either, but I'll have to. Good thing I can stare at this one. Very nice Mauro!

Mauro it's a BEAUTY !!!!! I can't wait for my C. amethystoglossa to bloom, but it would take it about 2 years or so. It's still a seedling. Or would I have to wait even more????

For such a small plant it makes for a beautiful bouquet. I like the pastels, so much more feminine. I've said it before, but I can't over how upright your growth is without any supports. I have to tie all my cats up or else they just grow to the side or hang over.

You might have a problem with light. When plants doesn't get enough light they stretch them self in direction to the light and grow not strong enough. What's the leaf color of your cats? Light, medium or dark green?
