Default Blc. Golden Glory

I bought this plant 1 year ago, at a show in Lakeland, Fl.. It presently has three spikes, it would have had four, but the first one got some insecticide in the buds....blasted! I guess it's a reliable bloomer, I bought it (in bloom) with a Phal. violacea var borneo (that was also blooming), and the Phal. is about to open it's first flower of the year (any day now)! The darker flowers (on the right) just opened, yesterday.Blc. Golden Glory-2008_0817xmas0001-jpgBlc. Golden Glory-2008_0817xmas0013-jpgBlc. Golden Glory-2008_0817xmas0015-jpg

Great looking plant, Jasen. Mine just finished blooming. Not as spectacular as yours, but it's getting there. Just to let you know, it is Bl. Golden Glory, not Blc. My tag says Blc. too, but the parents are Bl. Richard Mueller x L. tenebrosa.

My tag is probably wrong, I haven't checked the parentage, but I don't see a Cattleya in that combo. Interesting, though, I have both the parents also....I wish the tenebrosa would hurry up and bloom, I love that one. Oh, and thank you!

I'm with you on the tenebrosa. It could be my favorite orchid. Mine threw out two leads this year, so I'm hoping for something spectacular come spring.

jasen,

Your Golden Glory is glorious! My hat is off to you on your well grown plant!

By the way, you and Kim will not be disappointed when your tenebrosas bloom...mine just finished it's second spike for the summer and I'm always thrilled when it blooms.

Default Round 2!!

Here is this plants second blooming of the year. It still has four blooms left to open, and a fresh spike starting. I think I got more flowers this time around! Blc. I like how it looks like two completely different plants, but its not, reminds me of my Blc Golden Tang- this plant has Richard Mueller in it?
Good Growing
