Cattleya loddigesii 'Laura Trevisan'
This is one of the finest loddigesii I grow, named after my grandma. She is a lovely old lady, 93 years old (completed last week). This C. loddigesii always is in bloom during her birthday and this makes it invaluable for me!

What a sweet way of honoring your grandma with such a pretty Cattleya.
A Happy Birthday to her

What a beauty! How long does it take the buds to emerge after the sheath develops?

Thank you all for the good wishes! I'm sending all and each one to my grandma. She'll be glad to know of your kind words!
Becca, when C. loddigesii has the new pseudo bulb with sheath completely developed, in a month, or so, the sheath dries. Only after the sheath is dried the buds start developing inside. This is a very distinct characteristic of this species - develop its buds only when the sheath dries out.

Mauro, that was a very interesting piece of information regarding the sheath/bud process of this plant.
I'm taking notes
