A beautiful flower, for sure. The same person found only one or two plants, possibly the last ones in nature, and nobody knows where. Some say that only one plant was found in the São Fidelis area (hence fidelensis), in the State of Rio de Janeiro. Researchers and orchid lovers have scrutinized the whole possible area of occurence, but not a single plant was found until now. All L. fidelensis we know today came from that first and only one (or two, nobody knows for sure).
