The small Laelia lundii

Laelia lundii is a small creeping plant with a single, sometimes two, flowers per new growth. It quickly forms bushes with several blooms producing a nice view. It does well mounted on a hard wood slab. It is native of the sunny inland parts of my State (São Paulo) in the southeast region of Brazil. No detectable perfume.

I have always loved this little laelia ..
but I heard/read that it can be difficult to bloom ..
Mauro, have you found them to be difficult or slow to bloom?

Hi, Dorothy! I don't think it difficult or slow at all provided it receives good light (a little more than is needed to Cattleyas) .

Sounds repitious but very nice alba with beautiful veining on lip. I too heard it was more difficult to bloom, but maybe they were wrong. Or could be because of geographical location?

Don, I believe that the major difficulty with this plant is the light, not the geographical location . It hates being wet for long, so a mount is a good choice. If it has to be potted, then a clay pot loosely filled with tree fern fiber is recommended.
