Give time to time, Rolando, and you will have all the orchids you want (or, at least most of them!). I've been collectiong orchids for more than 25 years, so I had time to amass a few of them. But, the funny stuff is that I have so much more to get!!!

Mauro, you are not doubt a master gardener of orchids. And an excellant photographer. I've enjoyed all the orchids you have shown us and many have gone on my "wish" list. I was wondering how often you divide your orchids? I have not seen any "specimen" orchids. Do you get the AOS magazine? In the center fold is a Cattleya trianaei 'Okada' with more than 200 flowers. I wonder how long it took Dr. Saito to grow such a specimen??

I know but there are some many that I wish I had right now C. loddigesi is on my inmidiate list, C trianaei, C. guttata, C. intermedia, R. digbyana, Phal. gigantea. In other words a lot of them and every time I see one of your I want to have it...LOL. Whenever you get bored of them which I highly doubt and decide to sell them or divide them and sell them or give them out keep me in mind....LOL

Thanks, Don! I try doing my best, but allow me to say that I do not consider my skills comparable to those of a master. An apprentice would be more appropriated. But, it is very kind of you saying so.

I have really few true specimen plants. Maybe Maxillaria tenuifolia, Cattleya iricolor for sure and a few others. There's always the room issue, you know? Specimen plants need a lot of space... So, I divide my adult plants when they reach the pot edge.

Yes, I get the AOS magazine. A Cattleya with more than 200 flowers must be really an old plant! I also can't figure out how many years it took for such a wonder become true.
