Nice looking flower. I've seen splash petals before but this one is really pronounced. Nice fragrance is always a plus.

Thanks Don.
In fact, the clone, Ching Hwa Splash, is the only splash clone I have ever seen. The typical Mae Bly is also attractive. Both clones are popular here.

Pheli-I want to thank you for the sneak preview! I went to the g/h this morning and noticed a fat bud about to open that I hadn't earlier. Low and behold it's the same orchid Mae Bly 'Ching Hwa Splash'. There were only two buds but one blasted. The other is nice a fat and ready to open any day. Didn't realize I had one. Always excited to see a first bloomer. Thanks!

Don, don't forget to post the photo of yours.
I find that yellow-green cattleyas bloom in summer usually have splash varitties, such as Greenwich, Lc.Star Garden and Blc.Ahualoa. These cattleyas all have similar great fragrance.

Pheli that's a very pretty Catt you've got there. It remind me of my Lc. Llory Ann but my has shorter petals and more pink on them.

Pheli - Previously you asked me to post a pic of My Ching Hua Splash, so here it is. Not as good looking as yours but it is a first bloom. I will expect better things next year.
