Epi Cindy
We went to Duncan's place today and I came home with a few new chids...this one is in bloom
When I looked for it in Orchidwiz, I found that it is now listed as Encyclia rather than Epidendrum! I hate when they do that
Encyclia Cindy
(Encyclia tampensis x Encyclia alata)

I just got one of these last week. It was advertized as Encyclia Cindy, but when it came the tag said Epi Cindy. Maybe this hybrid was registered while Encyclias were still classified as Epidendrums? Ahh, phylogeny! What a delightfully confusing issue.

Very nice, Susanne. Are the flowers on your plant different colored? When my plant of this hybrid bloomed last month it produced a number of spikes, and not all of the flowers were of the same color. Most of them looked very similar in color to the one you posted; however, a number of them were much lighter in color, almost like albas. Just curious to know whether you've seen anything like that.
Also, are all Encyclias no longer classified as Encyclias??? Ugh, trying to keep abreast of taxonomic name changes is a bit frustrating.

There are still 3 buds to open, I'll watch for any color differences.
In this case, the "Epidendrum" was changed to Encyclia.
With the way they're always changing names, I leave the tags alone until the plant is going into a show

Very nice, and to think you almost bought one that didn't have any beautiful flowers on it!
