Cattleya walkeriana, first flower

Here's another seedling C. walkeriana showing its face for the first time. Except for the interesting lip, nothing of much especial with it, but I'll wait for the next year to have a better idea.

I started expanding my collection of walkeriana and nobilior last year. I commonly buy seedlings because I like to grow them to the first flowers. The surprise of seeing the first flower is always a joy, no matter the flower quality. So, several of them are reaching maturity now and beginning to flower. In this process, the majority are normally regular flowers, but sometimes good ones appear.
