Another 2'fer
Hello Hello!
Got some nice scents in the house right now.
1. Cymbidium ensifolium.
The leaves have some variegation. Wonderful scent on this. 1 flower can perfume up 2 rooms. It blooms 4 times per year.
Poor blooms got burned in the sunlight (didn't get home in time to pull it out)
2. Blc Keowee 'Newberry' HCC/AOS.
I love the scent on it and love growing it. I look so forward to it's blooms each year. This might sound strange & corney, but I actually have a better day when I look at the blooms on this.
Thanks for lookin'

Back in Feb, I had a similar but different looking catt bloom (pic) for the first time. About a month ago it sent up a spike with 2 buds but they blasted and, well, I didn't get to feel as happy as you are about your beautiful flower...enjoy it. It is lovely!

Thanks all
Doc, aren't those lips wild eh?!
Mine is blooming rather late this year, but I did get 2 flowers, I wonder if it was just storing up some extra energy. This still a young plant altho' fair in size.
I'm curious to know what the scent smells like on yours?

Because I'm an old %&@# I can't recall the exact scent, but I know for sure it was GREAT. It saturated the entire GH! I'm sure if Dorothy weighs in on this thread, she will come up with the parents for this hybrid and the scent may come from the common side of the genetics...thanks for your comments...good looking flowers!

hee hee! Don't worry no of us are getting any younger
Mine is a very nice mix of lily & carnation, given that 1 of the parents is B. nodosa I thought it would give off and lemon cast - It doesn't
